Saldy keeps your finances on your own device. There is no account to create and no server of ours holding your data, so there is nothing for us to look at. This policy explains exactly what that means.
What we collect
Nothing. Saldy has no sign-up, no login and no user accounts. We do not receive your name, your email address, or anything you record in the app.
We do not collect analytics, usage statistics or crash reports.
We do not collect your location, your contacts or advertising identifiers, and there is no advertising in the app.
Where your data lives
On your device. Every transaction, category, budget and note you enter is stored locally, and it stays there.
In your own iCloud, if you are signed in. Saldy uses your private iCloud database so your data can appear on your other devices. That database belongs to your Apple Account: Apple encrypts it and nobody else can read it, including us.
If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app works exactly the same — your data simply stays on that one device.
What leaves your device
Exchange rates. If you use more than one currency, the app asks a public rates service (open.er-api.com) for the day's rates. The request carries no personal data and says nothing about you or your money.
Your subscription. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. Apple tells the app whether a subscription is active; we never see your payment details.
That is the complete list. Nothing else is sent anywhere.
Voice and artificial intelligence
Speech recognition runs on your device. What you dictate is not uploaded for transcription.
The monthly comment uses Apple Intelligence on your device. Your figures are never sent to us or to any external AI service.
If your device does not support Apple Intelligence, the app writes that comment with a simple rule of its own — still without sending anything.
How long we keep it
We keep nothing, so there is nothing to delete on our side.
Your data lives for as long as you keep it. Deleting the app removes it from that device; turning off iCloud sync or deleting the app's iCloud data removes the copy Apple holds for you.
Your rights
Access: everything the app knows is in front of you, inside the app.
Portability: you can export all your transactions to a CSV file at any time, from Settings → Data → Export CSV.
Deletion: delete the app, or delete individual records inside it. You do not need to ask us.
If you are in the European Union (GDPR) or California (CCPA), the rights those laws grant you are already satisfied by the fact that we hold no data about you.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 16. Since we collect no data at all, we cannot collect theirs either.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page will be updated with a new date. Significant changes will be announced inside the app.
